The Birch Parish Council has 7 Parish Councillors.

Parish Councillors receive no financial reward for representing the community. The only paid person is the Parish Clerk (Mr. Alan Condron) who keeps the records of Parish Meetings, handles all correspondence, implements the decisions taken by Parish Councillors and prepares the accounts.
